Indian style Pasta

I found this Mini Penne pasta in Nilgiris store and thought it would be ideal for kids and bought it.I made this Indian style Pasta today.We like the Indian taste in the pasta and pizzas.Some people say it does not taste original but we all like the Indian twist in them.I order Paneer tikka pizza when we order pizza !!!! This Indian style pasta is so yummy and tasty with lot of vegetables in them.You can add few more additional vegetables like broccoli,corn etc.Try this one and enjoy the yummy pasta!!!!!





You will Need

  • One Cup Pasta                                                       
  • One Onion
  • One Large Tomato
  • One Greeen Chilli
  • Two Garlic pods
  • One Carrot
  • Four Beans
  • Few Green Peas
  • Half a Capsicum
  • Salt to taste
  • Half tsp Garam masala powder
  • One tbs Oil




How to
1.Boil the pasta as per instruction on the packet.Run it through cold water so that it does not stick to each other.
 2.Put the tomato in boiling water for few minutes take it out,cool and peel the skin.
 3.Dice the vegetables as shown in the picture.(you can then boil the beans and carrots separately and keep them ready)
 4.Once the tomato is cooled puree it in the mixer.
 5.Heat oil in a pan.
6.Grind green chilli,ginger and garlic in to a paste with some water.
 7.Crackle cumin seeds and fry the onions till light brown.Add the ginger,garlic and chilli paste.
 8.Add the tomato puree and fry for a minute.
9.Add the boiled carrot and beans and peas and salt and fry for few seconds.
 10.Add the capsicum pieces and fry for a minute(it should be crunchy and not change colour).Add garam masala powder and mix well.
 11.Finally add the boiled pasta and give it a toss and switch off the stove.
 12.Mix well and add some finely chopped coriander leaves.
Enjoy the yummy Indian style pasta!!!!
Notes

  • You can make with any kind of pasta and include few more vegetables of your choice.
  • You can add tomato puree instead of blanching the tomato.
  • You can shred some cheese on top if you are making for your kids.
