I had this vegetable podi dosai yesterday in a restaurant i liked it so much that i immediately tried it at home today.I always had this habit of trying the dish at home what i like the most in the restaurant.Acutally this vegetable podi dosai is nothing new just masala dosai with few vegetables in the masala and dosai milagai podi sprinkled over it.The way it was done attracted me so much and here is how i did it.....

  • 1/tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Red Chilli powder
  • Dosa Milagai Podi

1.Peel the skin of the potaotes and boil.
2.When it is almost done add chopped carrot, beans and peas.boil for two minutes and switch off.
3.Heat oil in a pan crackle mustard seeds.
4.Add chopped onion and fry for a minute.
5.Add salt, turmeric powder and chili powder to the frying onions.
6.Remove excess water from the boiled vegetables and mash the potatoes lightly.
7.Add it to the fried onions and mix well. The masala is ready.
8.Pour one laddle of dosa dough on a hot tawa, and spread it out as shown in the picture.Drizzle some ghee on the sides and at the centre.
9.When it is half cooked sprinkle some dosa milagai podi at the centre.
10.When the dosa starts to get brown on the base spread some masala or curry and close it half.
Enjoy the dosa when it is hot with some coconut chutney or any other chutney or sambar!!!!!

  • You can make the filling according to your taste. You can add some more vegetables and add a spices of your choice.
  • You can even sprinkle some lemon juice and coriander leaves in the vegetable.
  • Do not miss out on adding ghee as it gives a special flavour.
