Chilli Idli or Podi Idli is one of my favourite appertizers, or even a starter. Nowadays I prefer not to eat fried starters and Chilli Idli or Podi Idli is a perfect example.I went to a party recently and podi idli was the first one to get over.

You will Need
- Two plates of Mini Idlies
- One Medium sized Onion.
- Two Tbs of Idli Chilli Powder
- One tbs of Gingelly Oil
- One tsp Mustard seeds
- A pinch of Asafoetida
- Few Curry Leaves
How to
- Steam the Mini idlies in mini idli plates and allow them to cool.Heat oil in a pan and crackle mustard seeds,asafoetida and curry leaves.
- Add chopped onions and fry.add turmeric powder and salt
- Fry till the onions are slightly brown.
- Add the idli chilli powder and fry for a few seconds.
- Throw the mini idlies and mix well so that the idlies is coated well with the chilly powder.
