Milk peda or dhoodh peda is a very famous milk sweet in Northern India.
Traditionally it is made condensing milk and then adding sugar and then softening them in to pedas. But now a days with the availability of milk products it is made easier. There are few methods of making it and i adopted this method..

  • 200 ml Condensed Milk
  • Ghee for greasing
  • Sliced pistachios
  • Few Strands of Saffron
  • A pinch of Cardamom powder
How to
1.Soak few strands of saffron in hot milk and leave it for half an hour.
2.Combine milk powder, condensed milk and saffron dissolved milk in a non stick pan.
3.Add a tsp of ghee and heat it till it comes together as a mass.

4.Apply some ghee on your fingers.Allow it to cool and pull out a small portion and roll it in to a smooth ball and then flatten in to pedas.
Garnish them with pistachios or badam pieces.

  • You can add a pinch of Cardamom powder if you want to.
  • You can add some chocolate pwder to make chocolate pedas.
