Vegetable Manchurian

                                                Vegetable manchurian is one of our favourite starter in a chinese restaurant.sometimes we order dry as a starter and sometimes gravy to go along with the fried rice or noodles.it is easy and simple to make so you can have the restaurant style chinese food at home.

You will Need
  • 1/2 cup Finely chopped Cabbage
  • 1/4 cup Finely chopped Carrots
  • 1/4 cup Finely chopped Beans
  • 1 tbsFinely chopped Capsicum
  • 1/2 cup Maida
  • 2 tbs Corn flour
  • 1/4 tsp Soya Sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Pepper powder
  • Salt to taste

For the Gravy
  • 1tbs Finely chopped Garlic
  • 1 tbs Finely chopped Ginger
  • 1 tbs Finely chopped Green chillies
  • 2 tbs Finely chopped Spring Onions
  • 2 tsp Soya sauce
  • 1 tbs Tomato sauce
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 tbs Corn flour 
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp Oil

How to
1.Shredd or finely chop vegetables like shown in the picture.Add corn flour,maida soy sauce,pepper powder and salt and combine everything together.
2.The water in the vegetables is enough for it to come to gether and make small balls out of the veggies.

3.Heat oil in pan and deep fry the vegetable balls and drain them in a tissue paper.



4.In another pan heat some oil fry the finely chopped garlic,ginger first for a ten seconds and then add (white portion of the spring onions)onions and chopped green chillies.
5.Add tomato sauce,soya sauce and pepper powder and saute for few seconds.
6.Add water and salt and allow it to boil.
7.Make a paste with corn flour and water and add it to the boiling gravy.
8.Once it thickens add the vegetable balls and just simmer for few minutes.
9.Garnich with some sping onions.
Enjoy the gravy hot with some fried rice or hakka noodles.
Notes

  • If you want the gravy a little thicker reduce the water quantity added.
  • You can add more of tomato ketch up or a tsp of sugar for a little sweet gravy.
  • If you prefer you can add a pinch of ajinomoto in the dish.
