Semiya Payasam/Kheer/Vermicelli milk pudding

                                                                  This Payasam or kheer or pudding  is the most simple,fast and easiest one to make.Now that you get Roasted Vermicelli in the stores it becomes even more easier.




You will Need
  • Half cup of Roasted Vermicelli
  • Four cups of Milk
  • Half cup sugar
  • One tbs of Ghee
  • Few Cashews broken
  • Few Raisins
  • A pinch of Cardamom powder
  • A pinch of Edible Camphor
How To
1.Warm the ghee in a thick bottomed pan fry the cashews and raisins till golden brown and keep aside.
2.In the same pan saute the vermicelli for a minute and add the milk.Let the vermicelli get cooked.
3.Once the vermicelli is cooked till soft boil for few more minutes till the milk thickens.
4.Add sugar and let it boil.Then add cardamom powder and camphor powder.
5.Garnish with fried cashews and raisins while or before serving.


To Improve
  • You can soak few almonds in hot water,grind in to a smooth paste and add it at the end.
  • You can soak few saffron strands and add it while boiling .
