Idiyappam

                                                                       Idiyappams are rice noodles which are very soft on the stomach(considered safe food) even when you have a fever.I bought the Idiyappam flour in the store and made it at home.let us see how i made it.



You will Need

  • Idiyappam flour
  • Hot water
  • Salt to taste
  • Gingelly oil
How To
1.Empty idiyappam flour into a vessel pour hot water mix well and close and keep for sometime.
2.After it cools down a bit knead it in to a soft dough.
3.Fill it into the murukku maker and use the omapodi plate.
4.Grease the idli plate with gingelly oil and press the murukku maker in circular motion and spread the idiyappam.steam it for ten to fifteen minutes.
5.Serve hot with vegetable kurma

is it imp to make immediately the iddiyappam after making dough?or wait for sometime n make it.

Thanks for the recipe. Do you know where can I get the Idiyappam thattu online? I have a non stick idli maker, which doesn't make good idiyappam. Please let me know if there is any website which sells one.
