Jal Jeera needs no introduction it is truly a north indian summer drink with a lots of goodness in it.It is served as an appetizer and as a welcome drink in a lot of restaurants.I have tasted in a lot of restaurants but didn't like it so much in but when i made it at home just loved it!!!!The ginger,cumin powder and black salt are good digestives that kindles your hunger truly appetizing!!!!!Enjoy making it at home and have it with your friends and guests!!!!
You will Need
How to
1.Throw all the ingredients except the boondhis in the mixer add a little water and grind in to a smooth paste.
2.Grind it two or three times becuase the tamarind might not grind easily.
3.Add 4 cups of water to the paste and mix well.
4.Strain it and adjust the salt and sweetness.
5.Squeeze the lemon juice and mix well.
Refrigerate for atleast an hour and enjoy the refreshing drink with some Boondhis on top!!!!

- 1/4 cup Coriander Leaves
- One Lemon
- Big piece of Ginger
- 1/8 Black Pepper powder
- Sugar or Palm candy
- 1/2 tsp Black Salt
- 1 tsp Roasted Cumin powder
- A pinch of Asafoetida
- 1 tbs Tamarind
- Salt to taste
- Boondhis for Garnishing

Notes
- You can grind the tamarind or soak it in warm water for half an hour and squeeze the water two or three times and use.
- Do not skip the roasted cumin powder and black salt in the recipe as they are the main ingredients and gives the flavour.
- Use palm candy or sugar or jaggery as you like.
