Instant Ragi Dosa Recipe

I have always included ragi flour in my chapathi flour(wheat flour)to make chapthis daily and tried the ragi kanji sometimes but i have not tried any other recipe.I have just started making  dosas with ragi flour.Considering its health benefits i include ragi in my dishes and make things out of ragi flour.
Ragi dosa is a easy to make and it tastes best when eaten hot.It takes a little longer to cook than the normal dosa. You can add a few tbs of ragi flour to our normal dosa dough and make dosa too.Include ragi flour in your dosa and chapathi dough and enjoy its helath benefits.

You will Need
  • One cup Ragi Flour
  • 1/4 cup Rice flour
  • One tsp Cumin seeds
  • One Onion finely chopped
  • Two Green chillies finely chopped
  • Half cup Buttermilk
  • Water to mix to consistency
  • Salt to taste
  • A pinch of Asafoetida
  • Few tsp of Gingelly oil

How to
1.Take ragi flour,rice flour,chopped green chilli,chopped onion,cumin seeds,asafoetida,salt in a bowl.
2.Add half buttermilk and half water and make in to a runny dough.Thinner than the ususal dosa dough. You can add few tsp of sour curd and water too or just plain water is also fine.
3.Heat a non stick pan and pour one laddle of the dough slightly spread out.It takes its own shape because it is runny.Sprinkle one tsp gingelly oil and cook on medium flame.
4.Lower the flame and turn the dosa over and cook on the other side for a minute.

Enjoy the dosa when it is hot preferably and have it with some spicy chutney or gothsu.
