Baked Curry Puffs

"Baked Curry Puff "- You can call it a Puff, Calzone or Empanadas. It is bread dough with a filling of your choice. I made potato and peas curry for the stuffing, but you can use your imagination and make stuffing with paneer, peas or mixed vegetable.
Whatever be the stuffing it is a real treat for the children. It could be a perfect children's party snack too.You could prepare the filling and the dough keep it ready and just bake it when the party begins and enjoy the hot and fresh puffs.

You will Need

  • 200gms of Maida
  • 1/2tsp of dry Yeast
  • 1/2tsp Sugar
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • Potato Curry for the filling
  • Butter

How to

Dissolve the yeast and sugar in warm milk for ten minutes or until frothy.Mix it with the maida, add salt and knead the maida in to a soft dough. If required, use more milk or water to knead the dough.Leave it in a warm place for an hour.It would have doubled in size. Now punch the air in the dough and knead again.Take a small portion of it and roll in to a small thick roti or a disc.

Fold it on top and seal the edges carefully.brush a little butter on top. While making the puffs preheat the oven to 220 ˚ C.Prepare half a dozen puffs arrange on a tray and bake it for 10-12 minutes or until brown.

Once it is baked brush a little more butter if you wish to and enjoy it hot with Ketchup.
