This upma is a welcome change for south Indians eating rotis everyday for health reasons.It is quiet similar to rawa upma (except that you don't need to roast the rawa in the begining)just that it has lot of vegetables and it is very helathy!!!!!!You can refer to rawa upma for stpewise pictures

You will Need
- One and half cup of broken wheat(Gothuma rawa)
- Two Onions chopped
- Two tomatoes chopped
- One small potato chopped into small cubes
- One carrot chopped into small cubes
- Half cup of peeled Green peas
- Two green chillies chopped
- One small piece of ginger chopped
- Few Curry leaves
- Salt to taste
To Temper
- Few tsp of Oil
- One tsp of Mustard seeds
- One tsp of Channa dal
- A pinch of Asafoetida.
How To
- Heat Oil in a thick pan crackle mustard seeds and fry Channa dal till brown.
- Add asafoetida,onions,chopped green chillies and ginger and curry leaves.
- Add tomatoes and other vegetables and salt.Fry till tomatoes get cooked.
- Add four and half cups of water and allow it to boil.
- Add the rawa slowly and simmer the stove and allow it to cook.
- Stir on and off and make sure there are no lumps.
Suggestion
- You can add a dash of lime juice to improve the taste.
