Aloo paratha

Stuffed Parathas are double layered rotis with yummy filling of vegetable or Paneer or even dal sometimes.Aloo parathas  are perfect for a weekend brunch menu which is usually served with curds and pickles.It is a very popular breakfast in North India however i make it only for dinner along with some dal.It is best when eaten hot otherwise it gets a little soggy when kept in the hot case.Initially i used to sturggle  rolling with the stuffing(it used to come out on all sides)but now i can get a perfect round paratha!!!!!!!




You will Need(for the filling)
  • 3-4 Potatoes
  • One finely chopped Green chilli
  • One tbs Chopped Coriander leaves
  • 3/4 tsp Chilli powder
  • 3/4 tsp Garam masala powder
  • 1/2 tsp Chaat masala powder
  • Salt to taste
For the Roits
  • 11/2 cups wheat flour
  • Water to knead
  • Salt to taste


1.Pressurecook the potatoes for three whistles.
2.Peel the skin mash it when it is warm and add all the powders and other ingredients.
3.Mix well and make it in to small balls and keep it ready.
4.Take wheat flour in a wide bowl and add salt,oil and knead in to a soft dough.
5.Make soft balls with the dough also.
6.Roll out the dough in to a small thick roti and place the filling ball at the centre.
7.Pull out from all sides and cover it.

8.Flatten it with your hand.(dust with some flour if it is sticky)
9.Roll out in to a flat bigger roti
10.Heat a tawa and cook the roti on both sides till golden brown by applying some ghee or butter

Enjoy the parathas hot with a extra dollop of butter for a rich taste!!!!!


Notes
  • Make the stuffing allow it to cool and then do the stuffing.
  • Use butter or ghee generously for a perfect taste.
