Black channa Sundal or Karuppu Kondakadalai sundal is what you make mostly on Saraswathi poojai,you can make white channa sundal also.This channa sundal is very easy to make and very nutricious.I made this sundal,paruppu payasam and medhu vadai for neivedhayam today.
You will Need
3.Pour the boiled channa and mix well.check for salt if it is for neivedhyam add correctly while boiling itself.
4.Add scraped coconut.
5.Mix well and the switch off the stove.
This is my new addition to the golu this year.
You will Need
- One cup Black channa
- One tbs of Oil
- One tsp Mustard seeds
- One tsp Urad dhal
- Few Red chillies
- One Green chilli
- A pinch of Asafoetida
- One tbs Scraped Coconut
- Salt to taste
How to
1.Soak the channa overnight and pressure cook it with salt for three whistles and ten minutes or until soft.
2.Drain extra water from the channa and keep it aside.Heat oil in a pan and crackle mustard seeds add urad dhal and allow it to brown till golden.add red chillies,green chilli,asafoetida and curry leaves.(i forgot to add the curry leaves and green chilli while clicking)3.Pour the boiled channa and mix well.check for salt if it is for neivedhyam add correctly while boiling itself.
4.Add scraped coconut.
5.Mix well and the switch off the stove.
Notes
- You can make white channa also the same way.Both the sundals you can make on saraswathi pooja day.
- You can add sundal powder(channa dal,coriander seeds,red chillies and coconut roasted and ground,given in other sundal recipes)
