Pasta In white sauce with Veggies

I think the upmas and usili's have today been replaced by pasta and noodles. For this, we need to give our thanks to globalization and the exposure to International food ! Our taste buds have gotten used to Pastas and pizzas. Not to blame the kids, but the pastas and macaronis have to be in the menu at regular intervals. Pasta is made in two different ways one with white sauce and the other with red sauce.Like I have mentioned in earlier recipes, I like in include lot of veggies in all the meals. So I made this one(pasta with white sauce)with certain veggies!

You will need

  • One cup pasta(any variety)
  • One cup mixed vegetables
  • One tbs of Pasta seasoning
  • One fourth tsp of Pepper powder
  • One cup Milk
  • One tbs All purpose flour
  • One tbs Butter
  • One fourth cup shredded cheese
  • Salt to taste.

How to

  • Boil the pasta as per instructions with a little salt added, drain and keep it aside.Boil the chopped vegetables(I used Carrot,Corn,Peas and Broccoli) with a little salt  and keep aside.

  • Heat butter in a thick bottomed pan.Keep on a low flame- add the pasta seasoning, pepper powder and the flour and keep mixing continuously. Slowly add the milk and heat slowly to form a thick consistency.

  • Now add the shredded cheese.when the cheese melts add the boiled pasta and vegetables and mix well.check for salt and add a little if you prefer.

Enjoy when it is hot!
