Gobi 65

"Gobi 65" is surely a favourite starter for all, especially among kids.It is a sure order when we go out for dinner. Though I do not make deep fried food often, today was an exception as my daughter is writing an exam. She will be really hungry when she is back and she will be happy to see her favourite one !!! Here goes the recipe...

You will Need

  • One medium sized Cauliflower
  • One tsp Chilli powder
  • Two tbs of Thick Curd
  • Five tbs of Corn flour
  • One tbs of Rice flour
  • One tbs of Ginger garlic paste
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil to deep fry.

How to
1.Seperate Cauliflower in to medium sized florets.Soak them in hot water for ten minutes with salt.
drain the water.spread the florets on a tissue paper or kitchen towel and dry them.

2.In a large wide bowl mix cornflour,rice flour,curd,salt,chilli powder,ginger garlic paste(optional)
and the dried florets and leave it for 20 minutes.

3.Heat oil and deep fry the cauliflower florets and enjoy with Tomato ketch up!!!

Notes
  • For better taste use only thick curd.
  • Use of ginger garlic paste is optional.
  • Add a pinch of soda if you want it really crisp.Otherwise rice flour is good enough.
