Aloo Channa Chat Recipe

                                                            Usually chats have to be eaten immediately once it is made but this one is different and that is what i like about it.It is as tasty like any other chat and filling too.I made this chat for evening snack today i am sure my kids are going to love it.
You can make this chat as an appetizer for any dinner parties in your home.You can make it in the morning and refrigerate and keep it out during dinner time.


You will Need                                                                    

  • One cup Boiled Channa  
  • One tsp Lemon juice                                                   
  • Two to  boiled Potatoes                                          
  • Two tbs Green Chutney
  • One big Onion chopped
  • Two tbs Chopped Coriander leaves
  • Two tbs Tamarind Chuteny
  • Roasted Cumin Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Red Chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp Chat masala powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Sev or Om podi to garnish
  • Few Pomegranate Kennels


How to
1.Dry Roast Cumin seeds.
 2.Cool and powder in a dry mixer(small jar)
 3.You can store in a dry glass jar use for other chat and north Indian recipes.
 4.Put Diced potato,boiled channa,chopped onion and sprinkle chilli powder,chat masala powder,salt and roasted cumin powder.
 5.Put the chutneys,chopped coriander leaves and squeeze some lemon juice on top.
 6.Mix well and sprinkle some sev or om podi on top.(add sev just before serving)
 7.Add some pomegranate Kennels on top.
You can enjoy the chat as it is or cool it for an hour and have it it is yummy
Notes

  • Once you boil the potatoes and Kabuli channa you must cool it and then only add all the powders and chutneys otherwise it will melt in the heat give a different taste.
  • You can prepare the chat refrigerate for an hour and have it.
  • Add the sev or om podi or sev only just before serving.
  • You want to make it more helathy add some cubed cucumber and tomatoes
  • Adjust the chutney qunatity as per your taste.Some like sweet chutney so go ahead and add more.
